    American Energy Producers, Inc. is seeking team-oriented, highly motivated individuals to become part of our team. Our team of member investors, directors, management and staff are taking the project from conception to initial start-up, design, construction and finally to full operations. The biodiesel plant is scheduled to start up late 2010 and the extraction plant is scheduled for start up late 2011, however, this time table depends on completion of financing and construction. Plant Manager JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work directly with construction and engineering.
  • Assist in coordinating with all efforts to assure the new facility is fully functional.
  • Provide coordination with various engineering services on biodiesel processes and process/refinery systems to ensure safe, environmental compliance, process reliable, economical operation, and optimal and efficient systems.
  • Provide technical process expertise to plant operations, maintenance, and other groups to assure full optimization of refinery systems and processes.
  • Complete planning of refinery and extraction needs and future maintenance programs.
  • Provide project management.
  • Prepare operational plans and implement production schedules.
  • Be cognizant in new designs or techniques to biodiesel optimum plant efficiencies and processes and feedstock’s yield.
  • Provide direction to ensure all maintenance and operational requirements are achieved to optimize equipment performance.
  • Develop plans and process specifications for the efficient operation of new and existing processes.
  • Familiar with feed stocks such as Fats & Oils.

  • JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • BS or MS degree in Agricultural/Chemical Engineering preferred, however comparable engineering degree with experience in agricultural plant operations, vegetable oil, ethanol process, or biodiesel will be a factor.
  • At least 5 years experience in processing engineering in biofuels, vegetable oils, or ethanol, utilizing soybean oils, palm oils, animal fats and oils, other vegetable oils, other fats, oleo chemicals, biofuels, or other biofuels processes, soybean or other feedstock extraction process.
  • Strong management and leadership skills.
  • Planning spreadsheet development.
  • Process instrumentation and controls.
  • Maintenance Supervisor JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Supervise all maintenance of all equipment and grounds of the facility.
  • Develop and supervise all preventive maintenance schedules to the equipment set forth by the manufacturers.
  • Manage and direct repairs performed by maintenance technicians during regular operations and periods of shutdown for preventive maintenance.
  • Work with the Plant Manager to schedule necessary repairs while minimizing down time or loss of operations.
  • Manage and direct painting and labeling of process piping within both facilities.
  • Inspect and direct maintenance of company vehicles.
  • Supervise maintenance area cleaning.

  • JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Extensive experience in a maintenance position, preferably in agricultural plant operations, vegetable oil, ethanol process, or biodiesel.
  • Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and precedents.
  • Have PLC experience (preferably Allen Bradley).
  • Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Demonstrate an ability to work in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of human resource practices.
  • Commodity Supervisor JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Feedstock procurement, including, but not limited to soybeans, soybean oil and methanol.
  • Develop relationships with producers, elevators and other grain entities.  Develop and recommend contracts with customers, marketers and brokers.
  • Oversee commodity sales, including, but not limited to soybean meal, biodiesel, glycerin, soybean hulls and soap stock.
  • Heavily involved in risk management decisions, primarily hedging soybean, soybean meal, biodiesel and crush margins.
  • Develop a risk management program in conjunction with a Marketing and Risk Management Committee from the Board of Directors.  Communicate between Risk Management Service Provider and Committee.
  • Schedule commodity receiving and delivery as needed.
  • Oversee commodity transportation, including truck and rail.  Negotiate contracts with Rail Service providers.

  • JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • BS or MS degree in Agricultural Economics or Supply Chain Management preferred, however comparable degree with experience in agricultural trading operations.
  • Development of a risk management budget.
  • Sales forecasting.
  • Strong management and leadership skills.
  • Planning spreadsheet development.
  • Maintain current knowledge of commodity field.
  • Administer the purchase of grains and the marketing of all finished products to ensure the best pricing scenario.
